Gut Rumbles

doldrums

I really had trouble blogging yesterday. My biorhythms must have been at the bottom of some kind of sine wave because I felt dull and fucktardly all day. Trying to write was like passing a kidney stone. It hurt.

For a terrible moment, I thought I was suffering from BLOGGER BURNOUT. I see a lot of that malaise spreading like a flu around blogdom now, and I don't want to become infected. I still LIKE blogging.

And I don't like seeing people quit.

Maybe you just need a kitten or two to cuddle with.

Thank you...
for saying what ya did, when ya did and how ya did.

Had a few people "tug-o-war"-ing me back from the edge of the abyss and you're extra tug was what did it for me.

Now I'm not sure which is greater... the debt I owe you for all the times you've saved my ass or the love I have for ya for it all.

Cool conundrum*, huh?

I'm not quitting. I have to keep blogging. I owe it to all the people who hate me.

I'm still as full of shit as I was when I started but some days I just don't feel like a rant and other days life just ain't very funny. But in this country all one has to do is click on the news to find something to talk about and as long as there are dim-a-crits I reckon there will be.

S'funny. I burned IN yesterday evening.

I think it happens like that sometimes. It's hard coming up with new stuff to say every day. Sometimes you just got to take a day off and observe some things around you and allow your brain some time off to do what it wants for awhile. And, if you're any kind of perfectionist then you'd rather put nothing up than some kind of crap.

Teacher says every time a blogger quits, a MSM Journo gets an orgasm!

How long do we have to wait?

I came this way just to see IFOC's cat banners on your blog!

I don't burn out as much as I am afraid I will run out of things to say. Nothing like a little writer's block to freak out a blogger. But then I block about work and I have almost three decades of material.
It all comes back eventually! : )

This blog feels like sitting around shoot the bull with friends, that's the vibe I get anyway. I don't think that kind of blog will ever burn out so Rob is safe! : )

This blog feels like sitting around shoot the bull with friends...

Yeah it does...

For those who have large readerships I'm sure it's something to think and worry about. But for a small, seldom read blog like mine, does it really matter? I think only GuyK and a few others even really read mine. Who'll miss it if I quit?
