contempt of congress

If you aren't already convinced that our government is run by a bunch of preening, over-inflated gasbags, just watch the Alito hearings for a while. Sweet Bejus! I don't know whether to laugh or cry.

One fact is obvious: if these babbling senators are the best and the brightest this country has to offer, we're in deep shit as a nation.

I have a lot of gripes, you're just picking the best of them today.

Senator Leahy was pi$$ing me off earlier because he would ask Alito a question and then interrupt his answer with another question. What a disrespectful moron! Alito is a federal judge as we speak. He certainly deserves more respect than what he is being given. Hey! The Dems wouldn't let the terrorists be treated this way! Hey! (looking around) Where's Cindy Sheehan?

I wanted to jump through the TV and grab that smarmy grandstanding bloviator Schumer by the throat yesterday.

I think it was Bob Dole who said, "The most dangerous place in the world is between Chuck Schumer and a television camera."

Can you imagine the pimp-slapping Thomas Jefferson would have laid on Schumer?

Kennedy was so drunk on day one that he couldn't even get Alito's name right.

Now I watched as Mrs. Alito was brought to tears as Senator Graham apologized for the questioning of his fellow senators.

The best stat I heard was that each senator had 30 minutes to question the candidate...and Senator Biden used 26 of those asking the questions!

Then the damn blue staters have the gall to say they're not getting any answers.

TERM LIMITS....what we need are TERM LIMITS!

I think this says it all

Judge Samuel A. Alito’s wife Martha left the confirmation hearing room in tears this evening, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) apologized to the Judge’s family for the behavior of his fellow committee members during the course of the last three days.

Sen. Graham said: “Judge Alito, I am sorry that you’ve had to go through this. I am sorry that your family has had to sit here and listen to this.”

Democrats on the Judiciary Committee have attacked Judge Samuel A. Alito over his membership in Concerned Alumni of Princeton and his involvement in the Vanguard case.

One senior Republican in the hearing room said of the situation: “After three full days of attacks against her husband’s character, Mrs. Alito had enough. Democrat behavior during this hearing has not only been wrong, it’s been embarrassing. Ted Kennedy is nothing but a bully.”

"One fact is obvious: if these babbling senators are the best and the brightest this country has to offer, we're in deep shit as a nation. "

Yep, and have been for about fifty years. The last great republic fell over 2,000 years ago because of crooked politicians. One would think that we could learn just a little bit from history but it seems to keep going around in circles.

Just seeing Fat Teddy with his twelve jowels sitting there acting as a morale authority for our nation is sickening enough without the partisan drama.

Well now, Teddy can still swim....

Yeah, it was a real show all right. The poor republicans used up half their time in effusive, gushing praise of the man before they got around to asking anything, while the democrats let stand bullshit non-answers. IMO, it's all a big farce.

As for the crying wife, I'm afraid the overstimulation musta got to know all those bright lights and cameras. Perhaps she's just not cut out to be the wife of a Supreme Court nominee.

BTW, the Teddy jokes are really stale. He's fat, he's a drunk, he's fat, Chappaquiddick, he's fat, he's divorced, he's fat, he's Catholic, he's fat. Yawn.

Teddy is the fuckin joke, moron.
