what i hate about kerry

That man is as big a liar as Bill Clinton, but he's not as good at. He keeps getting his dick caught in the wringer with some of the easily-refuted "truths" that come flying out of his neck. What has Kerry lied about? Well, almost everything.

But here's a whopper.

"Probably an 8-pointer," Kerry replied, "something like that. Nothing terribly big." Actually, an 8-pointer would be a rather large kill to most hunters — the kill of a lifetime in fact.

But Bwana John wasn't done. "I once had an incredible encounter with the most enormous buck — I don't know, 16 points or something. It was just huge. And I failed to pull the trigger at the right moment. I was hunting down in Massachusetts, on the Cape."

An 8-point buck is "nothing big?" Got-damn, man! What kind of steroids do you feed deer in Massachusettes? An 8-point buck in Georgia is a trophy deer, whose head gets mounted on the wall over the fireplace.

And he saw a 16-pointer, but failed to pull the trigger in time? I call bullshit there. I don't hunt deer, but I know a lot of people who do. I ask every one of you hunters who read this blog--- how many 16-point bucks have you EVER seen, even when hunting every chance you got during the season?

Kerry is a skilled hunter--- his track record proves that. But he was never after deer. He was after "dear."

Maybe his memory has failed him because those were the same years in which he was busy tracking the biggest game of all — rich heiresses.

Whatta asshole.

I used to deer hunt years ago when I was a teen living at home. I saw many deer and bucks, and killed a few...okay 3, but I never saw or heard of a 16 pt. deer. That would be the granddaddy of all deer! The largest rack I ever saw on a bagged buck was 13 pts. And that my friend is a trophy buck. I doubt Kerry would even know how to find his way to the woods to hunt much less do it.

Not to defend this bastard, but some hunting regulations count the points on both antlers. It varies by state. I do not believe for a minute that this sack of goat dung ever went on a hunting trip in his life. (except perhaps to Miami to hunt "white tail "with his uncle Ted.)

Yeah, something I know about! I haven’t been as far east as Mass, damn bean eaters, but will assume the deer are as big as the ones I’ve seen from VA to NY. Georgia deer are smaller than northern deer in body size and antlers. It’s the balance between enough food, good genes, deer age, and low population density. Though I cannot imagine there is enough of all that on Cape Cod.

I have seen eight, ten and larger racks that were nothing to brag about. Small spread and short points. The deer might have had the feed and genes, but was only two years old. Or older but less food.

Also seen 4 and 6 points that would make you cry. Heavy beams, big spread, just no points. I saw a spike that looked like an antelope, two big beams but no other points.

Not shooting the 16 can also happen. Don’t have a safe shot, never get a good chance, lots of reasons.

Do I believe him? No farking way. I can take you to the exact spot for any deer I killed, and the ones I missed. I’m not obsessive about hunting, I just like doing it. Maybe if I hunted a lot more, killed more game, hunting wouldn’t be as special, memorable. But one buck, even a small eight? He should know more.

I've been an avid deer hunter for over 30 years and have been privileged enough to hunt from the Mississippi Delta to the brush country of South Texas where "Muy Grande" lurks. CMNF is correct in that the three things that affect the antler size are nutrition, genetics and age. There are several subspecies of the North American Whitetail, but what is considered to be a typical rack is a mainframe eight point (what Yankees would call a four point). It is true that you could have a small, thin eight point rack and conversely have a rather large and massive six or four point depending upon the three factors mentioned. I could go on forever, but you get the point.

What is equally true is that Kerry obviously knows nothing of what he speaks and is simply pandering to a group that hopefully knows his (not so) hidden anti-gun agenda and voting record. Yes, even for hunters. While I could give you a plethora of reasons not to vote for the guy, that one is at the top of MY list. Just hearing him talk/lie about hunting and shooting makes my blood begin to simmer.

I live in Massachusetts. I'm a hunter. I've never seen a 16 point buck here. I have rarely seen an 8 point buck here. I've never seen anything of size on the cape. That's just a joke.

Perhaps he was counting their pointy little hoofies. That would make 8 extra points...

Although I don't believe a word that comes out of Kerry's mouth, I vaguely recall hearing about a 22 point white tailed buck bagged early this season out west some where. I've never heard of anything even close on the east coast. Admittedly, I'm not an avid hunter, but I prefer moose hunting over deer. There's no element of danger in deer hunting. You shoot a deer and it either drops or runs away. Shoot a moose and it rarely drops the first time and it turns around LOOKING for the poor bastard that shot it.

I was with my father in law when he took his first moose and I'm not too embarassed to tell you about the brown stains that appeared in my silk undies that day. Nothing gets the blood pumping (or the feces flowing) like a ton of pissed off hoof and antler charging for you.

"what i hate about kerry"

Everything.

That sumbitch is one of my senators.

See, I lose either way next month. Either Fuckface becomes President, and we're all screwed, or he comes home to Massachusetts and keeps screwing us...

Sorry about that Jay, but better you than all of us.

Not only is he a liar, he's bad at it. Sad, really.
