January 16, 2004perfidy, betrayal and just plain meanness.I see that I while Ive been away, the cats have played. You assholes. I don't mind because we're having a great time in Jamica. We spent the first night in Montego Bay and went to Negril on Tuesday. I kinda lost track of time after that. We took a break neck taxi drive all over the island yesterday and went places where most civilized people don't want to go. I enjoyed every bit of it. We drank Red Stripe and rum and we skinny-dipped in the falls. We ate curried goat and jerked pork, then had lobster for dinner last night. This morning I took my companion's picture while she was buying fruit off an old woman who was carrying a basket on her head. My camera ended up in the ocean. That's a long, confusing story, and I will elaborate on that one later. We're staying at a place called "Your Pastime" and it's perfect for us. It's not fancy, but it's right on the beach, with a bar, a restaurant and a couple of duty-free shops nearby. We've hired "Winston" to be our guide, and he knows where to get anything we want at a reasonable price. Except for the camera-tossing incident today, my companion and I have goten along famously. She likes Jamacian food and doesn't see a damn thing wrong wth having some rum punch for desert after breakfast. She looks good in a thong, too. She had her long hair braided yesterday and I thought that it looked wonderful. I took a picure without asking permission. She PMSed on me and threw my camera in the water. "I TOLD YOU TO ASK MY PERMISSION BEFORE YOU TOOK MY PICTURE!" she hectored me. Fuck! I didn't beleve that she was serious. She was. What the hell. It was a cheap camera and it might still work anyway. We're out shopping today and we found this internet cafe. We'll post something, then stroll the street for a while and see what we find. Maybe I can hector her into buying me a new camera.
