October 06, 2003Just plain ugh!I've been to California once in my life. When I was waiting for a shuttle-bus to take me back to my hotel from a very successful gambling trip in Stateline, Nevada, I walked across the street just to say that I set foot in California once in my life. I went right back across the street after that. I wouldn't live in that nutbowl place no matter HOW MUCH I was paid to do it. They make too many movies in California. People there start to believe that all of life is a fantasy and they behave as if they'll always have a happy ending because it's in the script. I want clean air, so let's BAN construction of new power plants FOREVER in this pristine, energy-consuming state. YOWZA! YOWZA! Sacremento agrees. Hey, wait a minute... I want electricity for my hot tub, too. If I sit in there when it's cold, the model/actress I'm with looks really good with those stiff nipples, but the cold water shrinks my Roscoe. Let's SUE THE POWER COMPANIES!!! YOWSA! YOWSA! Sacremento agrees. I'll tell you just how deluded Californians are. They elected Gray Davis TWICE as governor and they believe that Rob Reiner has a brain. I rest my case about that silly place. They get tired of cold hot-tubs and decide to recall the governor in a hissy-fit, as if that's gonna cure any of their problems. As long as those nut-logs want "environment" and hot-tubs at the same time, they'll always be hopelessly confused. Gray, being the stalwart individual he is, launches a last-minute smear campaign that is so blatant and so obvious that it turns my stomach. Who aids and abets in this skuzz-ball behavior? Why the Los Angeles Times, of course. After this disgusting display of journalistic "integrity," I don't want an asshole such as Al Franken EVER to call Fox News anything other than Fair and Balanced. I don't want to hear about wicked Republicans. I don't want to hear about "mean-spirited" or the "politics of personal destruction." If Terry McCalliffe pulled off such a shit-stained stunt with his own money, I would pass it off as hard study at the feet of his Master, Bill Clinton. But when one of the leading newspapers in the country stoops this low, I just want to puke. That's what politics, and "journalism" have degraded to today. Welcome to "Callyfornia."

I like living in California. And I like Georgia, too. To each their own. I have to admit Davis is an incompetent fool. I've already voted to recall him (absentee ballot). Arnold is interesting. We have what you might call a "weak governor" system out here. Basically the governor has little power to do things directly, s/he has to negotiate with the state legislature and ultimately the people to get stuff done. So we need leaders not managers. The best California governors were leaders - Reagan, Brown, even Wilson. The worst ones were managers like Davis. I actually think Arnold has a chance to be a decent governor, because he is a leader. Ole Posted by: Ole Eichhorn on October 6, 2003 09:49 PMHey Rob, Thats California Profiling and I deeply resent it! HA HA Posted by: LP on October 6, 2003 11:13 PMI guess you really just have to be in California to REALLY understand what is going on here, and or to comment LOL! Because the rest of you really DON'T have a clue! Posted by: Jeffinna (jennifer) on October 7, 2003 01:39 AMJennifer says: And I reply: The people of Florida would like to thank the people of California for taking over the laughing stock of the world election system. I still don't understand why they want it back. Posted by: McGehee on October 7, 2003 05:40 PMWell, the deed is done. Governor Arnold should provide lots of entertainment for the rest of the country. Let's hope he gets some good stuff done out here - we're in trouble. Ole Posted by: Ole Eichhorn on October 8, 2003 01:26 AMCool article!!!
