August 08, 2003interesting triviaDid you ever wonder what are the ten most dangerous foods to eat while driving? Neither did I, but I posted that link because I found it on apechild. (The only worse name for a blog than "Apechild" is "Monkeyboy." Or maybe "Cat-Lover." If I ever shut down this blog and start another one, I'm going to call it "Puppy in a Blender.") I have eaten every damned one of those dangerous foods, and washed them all down with very dangerous beverages while driving, and I never had a wreck while doing so. You want to know what will REALLY get you in trouble? You know what is IMPOSSIBLE to eat while driving (or even riding in a car for that matter)? A woman. Neither the car nor her equipment is built for that sort of activity.

Gotta admit that I've never tried barbequed foods while driving, but have eaten everything else mentioned. Never had a wreck, or even a close encounter. Jeeze, if you're that worried about your clothes, wear a bib or something! You have to skootch the seat too far back so as to avoid the steering wheel/back of head problem. . . and then there's the little matter of the gearshift. But as I'm sure you're already aware. . .that's what stopping in fields of tall grass is for. And if it's cold outside, there's always a warm hood on which to lie back.
