July 09, 2003I survivedEverything went well and I was out of the hospital at 2:30 this afternoon. They gave me a shot of morphene as a going-away present, so I don't have all my wits about me right now. I DO, however, have ice-packs on my genitals. Roscoe and his two neighbors are quite sore. I go back to the doctor at 10:00 tomorrow to have the catheter and the dressing removed. I hope to get a set of Operating Instructions for my new toy then. Thanks for all the encouraging comments and good wishes. I appreciate that. Comments
Ouch...is all I have to say. Ouch. Posted by: SageOne on July 9, 2003 03:21 PMOuch! Posted by: Debbi on July 9, 2003 03:30 PMI've been checking hoping you'd update..I'm so glad to know you're home. I'm glad the surgery went well, and hope things continue to go per plan. Keep the ice on and be careful with the meds! Posted by: Barbara on July 9, 2003 03:40 PMWe want details! Posted by: Mrs. du Toit on July 9, 2003 03:51 PM~at least they gave you a going away present worth getting...hope all is well and here's to a speedy recovery! Posted by: btezra on July 9, 2003 04:10 PMCongrats on the new equipment. It's not often a guy gets a new erector set to play with. Posted by: LittleA on July 9, 2003 04:13 PMCongrats Acidman! Glad to hear you're back home and all went well! Posted by: Maripat on July 9, 2003 04:30 PMGlad that you're back home safe and in one piece. No peeking down below, and have someone tie your hands down tonight so you don't accidentally mess with yourself in your sleep (you're a guy, after all...) Posted by: Patrick on July 9, 2003 04:34 PMYou must not have your wits about you--there isn't a drop of acid anywhere in that post! Posted by: shell on July 9, 2003 05:08 PMThat's great! I knew you'd be fine. Thank you for letting us know you're okay. Go relax and get better. I imagine sitting down typing is painful, so worry about it later. You're home and okay. That's all I wanted to know... Posted by: Stevie on July 9, 2003 05:11 PM"wince" icepacks on your jimmy, I'll take your word it went good. Good luck... Posted by: lip on July 9, 2003 05:16 PM"We can rebuild him. We have the technology, we have the capability..." Posted by: Velociman on July 9, 2003 05:19 PMDoes it have different settings? Like small, medium, large, and super size? Posted by: Geoffrey on July 9, 2003 05:28 PMGlad to know you're home. Morphine is SUCH a wonderful drug...you may still hurt like hell, but you sure don't care!! Posted by: Kat on July 9, 2003 05:33 PMMorphine doesn't last very long, a fact you probably have figured out by now. Hope the doc gave you something good like Percocet cause you're going to need it. Expect you'll hurt like hell for a few days but it does get better. You might want to wait for the incisions to heal before trying out your Pump and Play. Want it to be fun not painful. Posted by: mog on July 9, 2003 06:01 PMI'm so glad things went well big guy. Rest alot. I just realized now that you have a new toy..you'll be blogging alot less. Maybe you could start SexRumbles. What do you think? Posted by: Dawn on July 9, 2003 06:11 PMGlad to hear you are safe and sound and back at home. Get your rest and take it easy darling. Posted by: Lori on July 9, 2003 06:14 PMIf you're feeling up to it (ha ha), could you do a little post on how the pump works. It's really interesting. Feel better. Posted by: Marc on July 9, 2003 06:23 PMSo glad you are home safe...REST, now!! Sure beats Darvocette! Take it easy and get back to your old acidic self. You're a man Acidman...you don't need no steenkin' Instructions! Posted by: Chablis on July 9, 2003 06:35 PMWhat a guy won't do for a legal hit of morphine! Posted by: Jane on July 9, 2003 06:41 PMYou're a better man than I... Posted by: charles austin on July 9, 2003 06:53 PMNow if you could just get it to transform. Posted by: margi on July 9, 2003 08:08 PMMorphine ain't for shit! Give me Dilaudid or give me death! Anyway, take it easy and rest up. You've got big things ahead of you. Posted by: bear, the (one each) on July 9, 2003 09:11 PMHope the recovery goes quickly and uneventfully. Posted by: bear, the (one each) on July 9, 2003 09:12 PMHey Acidman....... "How's it hangin?" I'm amazed they let you go home the same day......and that you are blogging!! Alan had to stay in the hospital for 2 nights, and even when he came home he was not in any shape to get on the computer (but he is diabetic so that makes things a bit different.) Hanging? I think hanging is the last thing you want right now, Welcome home. Get some rest. We'll still be here when you get back. Glorybbb Posted by: Glorybbb on July 9, 2003 10:27 PMMorphine? What a miracle drug! I've had only one shot in my 56 years and that was to kill a back muscle pull. Miraculous stuff, it is. Glad to know your surgery went well. Here's hoping it's outcome is everything you hoped for. Posted by: Kathy on July 9, 2003 10:37 PMAs soon as it heals, go out and see if you can lift a bucket of water with it. :-) Glad it went well. Looking forward to a progress report when you get to "let the clutch out". Posted by: Keith on July 9, 2003 10:59 PMI'm glad it seemed to go well...it must have, if you're online already! I hope things continue to improve, and try not to be too manly about it. The drugs won't do any good in the bottle! Posted by: Candy on July 9, 2003 11:08 PMGlad to have you back. :) Posted by: Gennie on July 9, 2003 11:35 PMDude! Glad to see you're out. The all important question is: how long before you can take it for a test drive? Posted by: Lionel Mandrake on July 10, 2003 01:54 AMYou're out and blogging already? Man, you got more balls than me. Congratulations on your new toy. Posted by: serenity on July 10, 2003 07:13 AMI want the details too, but NOT photographic illustrations. Posted by: sugarmama on July 10, 2003 08:37 AMTwo comments that I think are appropriate at this time: 1) Has anyone else noticed how many "wimmin" have left comments for the Acidman? Just askin' ... 2) Dawn has a great idea for a new blog for the Acidman ... but the name needs some work. How about RoscoeRumbles? Just thinkin" ...
