Quinton

Young Jack dropped by this evening to borrow some salt and to make sure that Quinton was coming over tomorrow. My boy is, and Jack is invited to spend the weekend with him. Jack is excited.

If I can get permission from Jack's mom, I think I might spend the weekend at the beach. We'll go there Saturday morning, spend Saturday night in a room somewhere and just go beachy for a day or so. We'll eat seafood and get salt water and sand in our hair. Build sand castles. Ride the boogie-boards in the surf.

I believe that the boys would like it, and I'm ready to go OFF for a weekend. I just don't know how Jack's dad (never around) feels about Father's Day. I know how I FEEL about it, and I am damn glad that Quinton is staying with ME this weekend. I want it to be something special and he's welcome to share it with his friend. I want to spend the weekend at Tybee Island and go native. No shirt, no shoes... NO PROBLEM!

If I don't blog this weekend, that's why.

Have fun! Wish I could go with you...I feel like a piece of dehydrated jerky. The idea of just being in cool, wet water....aaaahhhhh.

Damn.

Gotta go finish cleaning this house. Then I swear, I'm gonna find the biggest, deepest, CLEANEST mud puddle....

There are several ponds and over a miles worth of running streams on this farm, but after that SNAKE shit, I'm sticking with water I can see through to the bottom. And, no big rocks for things to hide under, either.

If I don't see you blogging, I'll know you're doing the right thing and having fun.

Head to the beach.

I've got 3 ponds on my farm, there ain't NO way I would ever even put my hand in that water. One pond is covered with the green scum off of willow trees and hides all the turtles that live in it. The pond in the back pasture is covered with lili pads, housing for the biggest damned bull frogs you've ever seen. The smallest pond, circled by pine trees is where the snakes like to hide. So i'll just dip my toes in the shower thank you very much!

Oh yeah, Happy Father's Day, Rob.

I had some friends (years ago)
from Savannah (sp?)
They used to talk about Tybee Island a lot.
I'm headed to the beach in the morning, I got rained out the other day...my kids reminded me I OWED them. :)
Have a great time and enjoy your Fathers day....Trease

Have a great time, Mate!
Beach, sand, surf, good kids, and a couple of coldies are what life is all about.
Worry about the other shit later.
