the man has balls

bush da man.jpg

His soldiers know it, too.

Can you EVER, in your wildest imagination, picture Bill Clinton in that photo? After flying in on a jet that landed on an aircraft carrier?

If you can, you need to call your therapist right away. You have a serious problem with delusional thinking.

Say what you wish about George Bush, but the man has balls. And there is a BIG DIFFERENCE between having balls and having a perpetual erection. Bill Clinton will never understand that fact, but George Bush does.

Yes, sir. Quite a package. I mean, LOOK AT THE PICTURE, MAN!!

Bwah hah ha.

And that's on a ship heading to San Diego.

Fighter-jocks are like Marines. No such thing as an ex-one.

Oh my.

My eyes.

This is the kind of Political Victory Lap that I appreciate. Yeah, he isn't the first head of state to fly war machine to a speach (Putan beat him to that punch), but landing on a moving target is a lot harder. And those two cripples in France and Germany? Forget about it.

It takes guts to land anything on a carrier, even a chopper. As big as they are pierside, the damn things things shrink on the open ocean.

Dubya is the kind of leader you would follow to hell and back. All he's got to do is say the word.

Those in the picture would be SAILORS!

You guys do realise that the rest of the world has very little respect for that man? They only deal with him because you guys elected him. Well, I say elected, but you know what I mean. :-)

Every time I see him I think of Interface by Stephen Bury (a psudonym for Neal Stephenson and J. Frederick George) and console myself with the thought that he's too stupid to have attained power by himself, so there must be some very smart guys behind the scenes pulling the strings.

I hope and pray that he doesn't stand for a second term and Colin Powell becomes the next US President. I have infinitely more respect for Powell than I have for Bush.

Jack, even in the UK your opinion of Dubya is the minority these days.

The only stupid people are those who think W is stupid. It just astounds me that the continual underestimating of the man continues by the "intelligent".

Posted by: jim k. on May 2, 2003 08:15 AM

Can I be stupid like him? Huh? Can I?

Once a fighter jock, always a fighter jock. Just to clarify, damned certain GW didn't make the landing. There are very strict rules about flying dignitaries, mainly for the crew and dig's safety. GW is the CIC, but the aircraft commander is GOD!

I've made numerous hook landings, NOT on carriers. They're, um, interesting. Some Navy bases have carrier decks painted on the runways. They look like postage stamps. And they're completely stationary (except for Urth's rotation, heh heh). No rolling, pitching or yawing. Thumbs up to Navy jocks. It's ho hum to them.

Thumbs up to deck crews, too. Their job may be the most dangerous anywhere. Imagine what happens when a cable breaks. You have thousands of pounds of steel flying across the deck at hundreds of MPH with nowhere to run.

Today's military are the best of their generation. Bless em all!

President Bush became the 2nd President to land on the Lincoln... he rode an E3B-Viking onto the Deck of the Aircraft Carrier Lincoln over the Pacific as previously Clinton rode Lewinsky onto the floor of the Lincoln bedroom next to the Potomac.

Kevin McGehee,

And you can, presumably, back up your assertion that the majority of people in the UK don't think that Dubya is a moron?

I LIVE in the UK. And, as my opinion is the only one that matters you are, certifiably, wrong.

Anyone whose website contains the phrase "Children of the MIst" is wrong by default anyway.

'I LIVE in the UK. And, as my opinion is the only one that matters you are, certifiably, wrong.'

Wow. Such humility! Does anyone with anything resembling a self-esteem take you seriously? That's a rhetorical question, just in case your too dense to understand. Here's another rhetorical question for you to chew on: When did the UK become an absolute monarchy under you, Jack?

Go easy on him, Vic. It's bad enough his country has to follow the lead of us Yanks, but in reading my website he must've come upon this sentence, after a description of the failure of several English invasions to conquer Scotland:

Centuries later, the English captured Scotland by submitting to a Scottish king...

And I have a feeling his Maalox bottle was empty.

The best part of the entrance and speech was the effect it had on the Bush haters. I talked to one today, he was almost incoherent—kept muttering swaggering—strutting. I had to leave, as I feared he was about to spontaneously combust.

Stupid? Dumb? Yeah, right. Get over it crow-eaters!

Posted by: Indigo on May 2, 2003 10:38 PM

Well I must say I am surprised at how many people actually think GW is deserving of the presidency. Let's see... he only got into Yale because his father was a legacy there, and he graduated with a "C" average. He ran two oil companies into the ground, and four banks right into bankruptcy, (making a bundle during the S&L scandal, which speaks volumes about his character) and the man actually thinks his war-mongering is legal.

This guy shouldn't be running a local news stand let alone the most powerful nation in the world (which is very much on the decline anyway).
